Paint/Collage Class

Join Nancy Monroe in creating original art pieces using acrylic paint, markers and colored pencils on 8x8 canvas board. Join Nancy Monroe Thursday, October 15, from 6 to 9 pm, at Anoka Art and Novelty for a hands-on painting/collage class for our levels. We’ll be creating original art pieces using acrylic paint, markers and colored pencils on 8x8 canvas board which provides a sturdy backdrop for all the layers of paint and paper we’re going to add. Nancy will have examples and templates to follow, or let your imagination run away with your own vision. Supplies will be provided (please bring a pair of scissors), but feel free to bring one of your own paintings to embellish, plus scraps of paper (paper bags, tissue paper, old maps, pages from books, gum or candy wrappers, anything that will make an interesting juxtaposition). Since acrylic dries fairly quickly, you’ll be able to take your creation home with you that day.
