The kind of artist who seems to operate in a permanent state of joyful creative mischief, Poltz is a wildly inventive singer-songwriter, storyteller, and road warrior who has built a devoted international following through decades of relentless touring, unpredictable performances, and songs that swing effortlessly between heartfelt sincerity and laugh-out-loud absurdity. Also a founding member of the alt-folk band, The Rugburns, Poltz has collaborated with artists across the musical spectrum, including collaborating on several songs with singer Jewel, including the 1996 single "You Were Meant for Me," which reached number 2 in the U.S. Poltz comes to The Parkway in support of his 14th album release, JoyRide, the latest chapter in a prolific solo career producing a remarkable catalog of songs and unforgettable live shows.
