The Theater of Public Policy: Election Recap

Mary Lahammer, Blois Olson & Kathryn Pearson talk MN election outcomes with host Tane Danger, accompanied by live T2P2 improv comedy. This year’s midterm election cycle is behind us. Now what? We’re talking with political reporter Mary Lahammer, media analyst Blois Olson, and political science professor Kathryn Pearson about the outcomes of the midterms in Minnesota. Host Tane Danger will moderate a conversation between the three about what happened in the election, why it happened, and what it means for our day-to-day lives. And if spirited analysis isn’t enough for you, our cast will follow up that conversation with a slew of totally unscripted, midterms-inspired comedy scenes. Understand the election results in a fun, informative, and nuanced way at The Theater of Public Policy! • Doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner and drinks • Show starts at 7 p.m. and runs about 90 minutes What is The Theater of Public Policy (T2P2)? A civic comedy institution is returning at a moment when people are overwhelmed by serious issues and exhausted by bad public conversation. The Theater of Public Policy (T2P2) uses humor to take the pressure off of serious conversations, sparking real conversation and helping audiences see issues in new ways. Here’s how it works: • Shows open with a lively conversation with a newsmaker or policy wonk. • That conversation inspires a team of Minnesota’s most talented improvisers, who create entirely spontaneous sketches based on the interview. • The expert guest then answers questions from the audience. • The show wraps with one last round of improv from the cast. It’s a totally unique blend of learning and laughter — and each show only happens once. Seeing is believing, so get your tickets to the next T2P2 show today!
