Disney’s High School Musical JR | Eastern Shore Rep

Celebrate 20 years of Disney’s High School Musical with Eastern Shore Rep’s live production of High School Musical JR, bursting with music, Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre is thrilled to present Disney’s High School Musical JR, November 6–8 at the Daphne Civic Center, celebrating 20 years of the Disney phenomenon that introduced a generation to East High. It’s the start of a new semester, and East High is buzzing. Basketball star Troy Bolton and brainy newcomer Gabriella Montez discover a shared love of singing and decide to audition for the school musical, challenging expectations, cliques, and even their own friends along the way. With Sharpay and Ryan Evans determined to keep the spotlight, the Wildcats quickly learn that sometimes the best things happen when you step outside the role everyone expects you to play. Featuring favorite songs including “Start of Something New,” “Get’cha Head in the Game,” “Breaking Free,” and “We’re All in This Together,” High School Musical JR brings the energy, humor, and heart of the beloved Disney Channel movie to the stage with a cast of talented young performers from across the Eastern Shore. This year, Eastern Shore Rep is taking audiences beyond a traditional theatre experience and straight into the world of East High. Expect Wildcat spirit, game-day energy, a packed gymnasium atmosphere, and plenty of surprises as the Daphne Civic Center transforms for one unforgettable weekend. Whether you grew up with Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, and the Wildcats or you’re discovering East High for the first time, this high-energy celebration is for the whole family. Performances will be held Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8 at the Daphne Civic Center. All tickets are nonrefundable. About Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre Founded in 2012, Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre has become a creative home for young performers and a cultural cornerstone of the Eastern Shore. Our mission is to educate and train local students while presenting professional-quality theatre experiences for our community. Through mainstage productions, summer camps, Kids Academy, workshops, field trips, and nationally recognized performance opportunities, Eastern Shore Rep gives young artists the chance to develop their craft, build confidence, and become part of something larger than themselves. Eastern Shore Rep is known for ambitious, large-scale theatrical experiences, including Theatre on the Bluff, which has transformed the Fairhope Bluff into an outdoor theatre for more than a decade, as well as collaborations and special performances that have taken local students from the Gulf Coast to New York City and beyond. At the heart of everything we do is the belief that theatre builds more than performers. It builds leaders, collaborators, creators, and lifelong lovers of the arts.
