MSOTL Learning Exchange

JOIN FACULTY, STAFF, AND STUDENTS FROM ACROSS AU TO EXPERIENCE THE MILITARY SCHOLARSHIP OF TEACHING AND LEARNING FORUM TOGETHER. Welcome to the MSOTL Learning Exchange! 📅 Dates: December 9–10, 2026 🕘 Time: Following the MSOTL Forum schedule—come and go as your schedule allows 📍 Location: The Eagle Institute Event Overview Join Air University colleagues at The Eagle Institute for the MSOTL Learning Exchange, a local gathering held in conjunction with Marine Corps University’s virtual Military Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (MSOTL) Forum. Explore teaching and learning approaches from across military services and professional military education institutions, then connect those ideas to opportunities and challenges at AU. Why Gather at The Eagle Institute? The Eagle Institute’s flexible spaces will accommodate individual and group viewing, personal reflection, and collaborative conversations throughout the event. Shared learning creates opportunities for shared action. This exchange brings AU schools together to connect ideas, develop actionable takeaways, and explore collaborative efforts to modernize learning across the university. Whether you attend one session or stay for several, you’ll have opportunities to exchange perspectives, capture ideas, and identify practical next steps with colleagues from across the university. What You’ll Experience Participants will have opportunities to: • Explore New Approaches: Discover educational technologies, teaching practices, and research from across military services and PME institutions. • Connect Across AU: Meet faculty and students from other schools, share perspectives, and explore common educational challenges. • Reflect and Apply: Consider how conference insights could inform your teaching, learning experiences, or educational initiatives. • Build Ideas Together: Use creative spaces and designated discussion opportunities to brainstorm applications, capture questions in a shared “parking lot,” and identify next steps. • Participate Flexibly: Choose sessions that match your interests, watch independently or with colleagues, and come and go as needed. Who Should Attend? Open to all Air University faculty and students interested in strengthening teaching and learning, exploring new approaches, and connecting with colleagues across the enterprise. Bring your curiosity, your educational challenges, and your ideas. Questions? Jeremy VanEgmond Chief, Eagle Institute [email protected]
