Full description from organizer

Meet farm animals, make new friends, and learn about nature during a leisurely stroll around True Cut Ranch during this farmer-led tour. Join Our Fun Homeschool and Preschool Friendly "Farm School" each Friday 8/7 until 11/20! Hey homeschool and preschool families! Come on down for a super fun farm tour where you can meet some farm animals up close. It’s a great chance to explore, learn, and enjoy some quality time with your crew. Don’t miss out on this cool experience filled with smiles, baas, oinks, moos, and quacks! This is different than our normal farm tour; we'll go in a different direction each week to get more in depth learning and experiences. On 8/7, for example, the plan is to go feed cucumbers to the pigs, learn about a medicinal use for milkweed, and learn how the current draught affects how we get water to our animals. All homeschool families, preschool families, and co-ops are welcome! Join Fred or Melissa for a 60-minute educational stroll around True Cut Ranch to visit pigs, cows, sheep, chickens, or ducks each week. Tickets are $5 per person aged 5 or older; pay via cash, tap-to-pay, or card when you arrive. You can also get a $10 per person fall pass for all dates 8/7 to 11/20 at truecutranch.com. or a $40 family season pass. At 1pm each Friday we'll also have some sort of free demonstration at the red barn related to gardening, cooking, herbalism, animal care, etc. Find details about that series here on Eventbrite. Families are welcome to come for the 1pm demo then relax at the covered picnic area or shop in our farm store before the 2pm "farm school" tour begins. We, Fred and Melissa Falcone, just began our 17th year of homeschooling. We love to show visitors, especially curious preschoolers and homeschoolers, how our regenerative farmstead works. The tour fee covers the cost for participants to feed treats to some animals (sheep, cows, or pigs depending on where Farmer Fred has everyone grazing that day) during the Farm School experience. Event is rain or shine, but if weather is unsafe or especially lousy then this tour will be adjusted to include only the brooders, indoor spaces, covered picnic area, and/or greenhouse. The farm store is open to the public 10 am to 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays. FAQ What to wear? Dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. Leave your new, fancy, bright white tennis shoes at home. What animals will we see? Depending in where the animals are (most move every single day to fresh grass) you might see pigs, cows, sheep, chickens, guinea fowl, turkeys, and ducks. With 140+ acres to explore, you won't see the whole farm on any given Friday but you'll have a pleasant walk to visit at least one group of animals, meet an animal up close, and learn about a native plant each week. Is the tour stroller-friendly? Not really. We’ll be strolling on uneven terrain. A baby carrier is a better choice. We’ll walk slowly to accommodate all on the tour. You're welcome to park strollers inside the red barn during the tour if you wish. Is there a bathroom? The only restroom is inside the red barn. What if it rains? We'll still go on the stroll if there's a light drizzle; if weather is especially bad or there's lightning then we'll have farm school in the greenhouse, indoors, or at our covered picnic area.
