Over three Talent Lounge sessions, students will work together to design and build a boat that can safely navigate the rafting river at the Whitewater Center. With no nails, wire, or other metal allowed, teams will have to get creative with materials, construction techniques, and waterproofing. Students will explore materials science and put their engineering design skills to the test as they research, plan, prototype, build, and refine their creation. At the end of the challenge, we’ll put the Talent School boat to the test as we enter it into the Whitewater Center’s annual Build Your Own Boat Competition!
