David Finney in Recital: Liszt, Bach & Feinberg

David Finney performs Bach, Liszt & Feinberg in a dramatic late-October piano recital at Miller Piano Specialists. Join us at Miller Piano Specialists on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 6:30 PM for an evening of powerful, dramatic, and rarely heard piano music with pianist, composer, and improviser David Finney. The program is built around piano versions of three organ works by Franz Liszt, including the Variations on Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen, the Fantasy and Fugue on the Theme B-A-C-H, and Ferruccio Busoni’s formidable piano transcription of Liszt’s Fantasy and Fugue on the chorale “Ad nos, ad salutarem undam.” Presented just days before Halloween, the dark chromaticism and dramatic character of the Liszt selections make the program especially fitting for the season. The recital also features J.S. Bach and two rarely performed sonatas by Russian pianist-composer Samuil Feinberg, works filled with beauty, intensity, and expressive power. Program J.S.
