A Slice of the Community/Can Different Cultures Come Together for Holidays?

Nashville PBS host Jerome Moore leads guests in a discussion about holiday traditions. WNPT’s Jerome Moore and intern Luke Boudreaux explore how the holiday season brings different traditions, cultures and perspectives into the same room. They are joined by guests Martha Silva, co-executive Director, Conexión Américas; and Tabeer Taabur, president, Tennessee Kurdish Community Council. Their conversation examines how we navigate difficult conversations, value our differences and create a sense of belonging. What does it mean to come together when we don’t see everything the same way? This event is free, but reservations are required. Pizza will be provided. Doors open at 6 p.m.; the taping begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. A Slice of the Community is supported by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and R.H. Boyd.
