Building Connection When Everything Feels Divided with LoLita Toney, Ph.D., MBA, MA You're invited to hear LoLita D. Toney, Ph.D., MBA, MA, the Founder and Managing Director of TEN25 Advisory Group, as she joins the PRSA Nashville Chapter for an insightful discussion during PRSA's DEI Month. Members will learn how to navigate tension between their organizational needs and responsibility to support staff and clients in today's external environment. Together, we will discuss how to respond when challenges arise and how to stand by your mission and values while avoiding lightning-rod language. Our program, Common Ground, Uncommon Times - Building Connection When Everything Feels Divided, will be held at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; light snacks will be provided. Join us in a thoughtful conversation. About the Speaker: LoLita D. Toney, Ph.D., is a local business and community leader driven by her passion for working with people and organizations on achieving their maximum potential. LoLita is a recognized philanthropy strategy expert in both the nonprofit and educational spaces. She is the Founder and Managing Director of TEN25 Advisory Group, a firm that helps organizations build the relationships that matter. Specializing in community engagement, external affairs, and partnership development, she creates strategic connections that drive real results. A native Nashvillian, LoLita was raised by strong women who taught her the importance of working hard and embodying a servant’s heart. Throughout her life, she has lived by these standards and continuously fought for others. A service-connected disabled veteran, LoLita served 18 years in the Army Reserve and National Guard, including active duty with the U.S. Army in Frankfurt, Germany, and during the Gulf War. In the Nashville nonprofit community, LoLita’s work reflects the dedicated woman that she is. She has served as past president and chair for the YWCA Junior Board (a board she co-founded), Nashville Cable, Nashville CARES, the Greater Nashville Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, Renewal House, and others. She has also served on the Academy of Country Music Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. Numerous prominent organizations have recognized LoLita for her leadership. She is a recipient of the YWCA of Middle TN Women of Achievement Award, Nashville Business Journal’s Women in Music City Award and Women of Influence, Power Moves Community Advocacy Award, and Nashville Cable Civic Outreach and Rising Star awards. LoLita serves as a member of the Leadership Nashville Alumni Board, Nashville Public Radio Board, Nashville Repertory Theatre Advisory Board, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and The Links, Incorporated. She is a graduate of the Links, Inc. Scott Hawkins Leadership Institute and the Leadership Nashville Class of 2011, where she later held the position of Program Co-Chair from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, LoLita is an alumna of Leadership Tennessee Class of 2017. Her leadership roles include Co-Chair, 2025 Dismas House Forgiveness Luncheon; Co-Chair, 2024 YWCA Academy for Women of Achievement; Co-Chair, 2023 Humanities TN Authors in the Round; Chair, 2015 ATHENA Awards; and Chair, 2014 Good Guys Awards.
