Men's Minds Matter: A Mental Health Support Group for Men

There’s men in mental health too. Just because you are a man doesn’t mean you have to “man up”. There’s men in mental health too. Just because you are a man doesn’t mean you have to “man up”. At NAMI Mahoning Valley, we know that everybody can struggle with their mental health. That’s why we created this support group specifically for men. Speaking out and asking for help is brave and helps you connect with others with similar experiences. Our men’s mental health support group connects adult males who live with mental illness in a structured discussion format. The program is limited to male adults living with a mental health diagnosis in order to promote self-disclosure in a safe, relaxed, supportive and confidential environment. These support groups are led by NAMI trained facilitators who are “Living in recovery” themselves.
