Full description from organizer

Come meet Judge Maurice B. Mosley as he shares stories from his memoir, Bishop Street to the Bench: An Improbably Journey Join us at Kindred Thoughts Bookstore on Sunday, November 8th at 2 PM as we welcome Waterbury’s own, Judge Maurice B. Mosley, for a conversation about his inspiring memoir, Bishop Street to the Bench: An Improbable Journey. Judge Mosley will also be bringing young people from his community. We encourage you to join us and bring a young person in your life to experience this powerful story of perseverance, purpose, and possibility. Growing up on Bishop Street in Waterbury, Connecticut, Judge Maurice B. Mosley never imagined his journey would lead him to become a Superior Court Judge, attorney, educator, community leader, and founder of the Granville Academy of Waterbury. In Bishop Street to the Bench: An Improbable Journey, Judge Mosley reflects on his upbringing in a close-knit Black community, the values instilled through family and faith, his transformative experiences at South Carolina State University during the Civil Rights era, and the challenges and triumphs that shaped his path through law, politics, and public service. More than a memoir, this is a story of resilience, mentorship, faith, and the power of community. Judge Mosley reminds us that success is not simply about how far we go, but how many doors we open for those coming behind us. This is a conversation our young people need to hear. Come be inspired by a remarkable journey and celebrate the importance of investing in the next generation. 📚 Sunday, November 8th | 2 PM 📍 Kindred Thoughts Bookstore We look forward to welcoming you!
