Tour OG Learning Lab, meet our team, and learn how Orton Gillingham approach to reading helps children become confident readers. Is your child working hard but still struggling to read, spell, or write? Are you wondering whether tutoring, an evaluation, or a different approach might help? Come see what’s possible. Join us for an evening Open House at OG Learning Lab in Portland, Connecticut. Tour our space, meet the team, and learn how evidence-based, Orton-Gillingham instruction helps children build the skills and confidence they need to succeed. You’ll be welcomed by founder Sarah Fudge, M.Ed., who spent 13 years as a special education teacher before founding Saybrook Reading and OG Learning Lab. Sarah holds a Master’s in Reading, Connecticut Special Education certification, an 092 Administrator Endorsement, and Clinical Level certification through the Orton-Gillingham Academy. At the Open House, you can: • Tour OG Learning Lab and see where instruction happens • Meet our practitioners and learn about their training • Learn about the Orton-Gillingham approach and why structured, multisensory instruction works for children with dyslexia and other reading challenges • Explore our services, including one-to-one tutoring, assessments, and advocacy support • Ask questions about your child’s reading, test scores, evaluations, or school meetings • Learn about scheduling and enrollment for upcoming sessions Who should attend: Parents and caregivers of children who are struggling with reading, spelling, or writing, families exploring support after an evaluation or PPT meeting, and educators who want to learn more about structured literacy. Children are welcome to come along. Light refreshments will be served.
