Redd & The Paper Flowers - live at Cafe Nine (New Haven, CT)

Come see Redd & The Paper Flowers, one of the best live Appalachian bluegrass/Americana groups out today, right here in the Elm City! Redd & The Paper Flowers Based in Tennessee, Redd & The Paper Flowers are quickly emerging as one of the most compelling young acts coming out of the Appalachian roots scene. Blending folk, americana, bluegrass, jazz influence, and harmony-forward songwriting into what they’ve coined “Appalachian Jazz,” the band delivers a sound that feels both timeless and distinctly current. Fronted by emotionally resonant songwriting and rich vocal interplay, their live show creates an intimate, immersive atmosphere while still carrying the energy and dynamics needed to connect on larger festival stages. Their performances have been building strong word-of-mouth throughout the Southeast, particularly among audiences gravitating toward authentic, community-driven roots music with crossover appeal beyond traditional folk and bluegrass spaces. Their 2025 debut album Appalachian Bell Jar established the band as an exciting new voice in modern Appalachian music, pairing vivid regional storytelling with sophisticated arrangements and a strong artistic identity. The project has already begun attracting attention from listeners and presenters looking for the next wave of emerging roots artists.
