The Great Redesign: How AI Is Reshaping Industries, Professions, and Competition November 4, 2026 · 9:00 AM–4:00 PM ETYale School of Management · New Haven, Connecticut Four years after the release of ChatGPT, frontier AI models continue to improve at remarkable speed. But as models and tools become increasingly commoditized, competitive advantage is shifting elsewhere. The question is no longer who has access to AI, but who can use it to redesign products, work, customer experiences, and business models faster than their competitors. To better understand what enterprises must redesign to create competitive advantage in this new era, the Data & Trusted AI Alliance and the Yale Program on Stakeholder Innovation and Management are convening senior leaders for a one-day executive conference. While much of the conversation around AI focuses on advances in the technology itself, this conference examines the strategic, organizational, and operational decisions required to translate those advances into lasting business value. The discussions will explore three central questions: Professions: How is AI changing the way people build products and reach customers—and what does that mean for professions such as software development and marketing? Competition: How will agentic commerce change the nature of competition, and how are companies adapting to keep their brands visible? Deployment: As companies adopt AI through third-party tools, how can they get the most value while minimizing exposure?
