Church Safety Seminar - Fries Consulting - Slidell, LA

Our duty to ensure that every member of the congregation feels safe, respected, and valued. A Full Day of Practical Training for Church Safety Teams and Armed Citizens Join Right To Bear for a full day of hands-on training for armed citizens, church safety team members and ministry safety leaders, presented by Ben Fries of Fries Consulting. Whether you’re protecting a congregation or simply serious about being prepared, this course covers every stage of a violent encounter: before, during and after. The day mixes classroom instruction, live demonstrations and open discussion, so come ready with your questions. Lunch will be served. What you’ll learn: • Securing your church property: How to use Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) site assessments, and how they can help your church qualify for Homeland Security grants. • Less-lethal options: Taught by a SABRE-certified pepper gel instructor, this block covers the benefits of training with SABRE Red less-lethal products. • Policies and procedures that hold up: Self Defense standards, use-of-force guidelines, volunteer screening, trespass, disruptive-person response and medical emergencies. • After the Fight: A deep dive into the legal, political and human cost of a life-or-death decision, and what it’s like to live with it years later. • Caring for your team: Why every safety team needs Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) resources to support the people behind the mission. That’s only the beginning. Many more topics are covered throughout the day.
