Fall Equinox Celebration

Join us for a Fall Equinox Walk in Couturie Forest. A ritual to honor the change of seasons to follow. Join us for a Fall Equinox Celebration at Couturie Forest! -Tuesday, September 22nd -6pm -Couturie Forest -1035 Harrison Ave -Meet by the Bridge by the Parking Lot The Fall Equinox marks the passage from Summer into Autumn. Nature goes through so many changes throughout the year and Autumn is the time when nature is preparing for harvest and dormancy. Birds migrate back down South, leaves change colors, the weather gets cooler and seeds drop. Honoring the Equinox gives us an opportunity to tune into the cycles of the Earth. A walk through the forest identifying signs of Autumn approaching will lead us to our ritual spot. Please bring a biodegradable offering to honor the change of seasons. Afterwards, we will watch the Sunset as we say goodbye to another Summer. The Equinox is a time of equal parts day and night. The parking lot gets locked at 8pm so it is suggested to park across the street just in case. This walk is free but donations are happily accepted. Helen is an Urban Naturalist and a Nature Witch. She leads Urban Nature Walks to help others connect to nature within the urban setting. She is a practicing Augur (bird divination).
