Healthier NOLA Fishing Tournament

A casual fishing tournament helping local youth trade video games for Louisiana’s outdoors and learn fishing, survival skills, and patience. The Healthier NOLA Fishing Tournament is an in-person event for local youth and the community. More Than a Fishing Tournament! The Healthier NOLA Youth Fishing Tournament is designed to provide boys ages 9–18 with a full day of outdoor adventure, hands-on learning, mentorship, and fellowship. Participants will spend the day fishing alongside volunteer Captains and Co-Captains, developing fishing skills, practicing water safety, and experiencing Louisiana's great outdoors. But the experience doesn't end when the boats return! Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about cleaning and preparing their catch, enjoy a freshly prepared meal, and celebrate the day's experiences together. Event Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (tentatively) Please Note: This is a full-day, drop-off event. Parents and guardians should plan for participants to remain through the conclusion of the day's activities. Additional event details, including the finalized schedule, check-in procedures, safety requirements, and participant instructions, will be provided following the informational meeting on November 10, 2026. Parental Consent Required: A separate parental consent and emergency medical authorization form will be provided to parents and legal guardians before the event. All required forms must be completed and verified before a child may participate. Registration alone does not authorize participation.
