95MP is a New Orleans live drum and bass duo. Drummer Peter Varnado and bassist Miles Hancock, whose recent Marigny Tapes sessions brought the project widespread attention. Varnado is a NOCCA and University of New Orleans graduate, Director of Applied Music at Tulane, and one of the most sought-after drummers in the city, with credits including Nicholas Payton, Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah, Ellis Marsalis, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Hancock is a bassist, composer, and producer whose work spans contemporary jazz, funk, and electronic music, and who leads the avant-garde jazz and funk group Loose Willis. Together they blend traditional New Orleans roots with trip-hop, rumba clave, and drum and bass influences. 95MP released their debut EP Excursion in September 2025. Full bar on-site.
