Open Mic Night at Spreading the Music

Open Mic for musicians, bands, and poets! Share your set list, perform an original, play what you’ve practiced at home alone. All welcomed! Spreading the Music Open Mic Night is a local event where musicians, local and traveling bands, comedians, actors, and poets can step onto a small stage in Uptown New Orleans to share original works, covers, and artistic expressions. It's a supportive environment that encourages creativity and performance. The audience, a mix of fellow artists, community members, travelers, students, and enthusiasts, listens attentively, applauds, and often snaps fingers in appreciation. It's a place where emerging talents can gain confidence and seasoned artists can test new material. Our Open Mics have a laid-back atmosphere, no cover charge, and are accessible to all. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow artists, share your stories, and be part of a supportive creative community. So, if performing or simply there to enjoy, our Open Mic Night promises an evening of music and new connections. Watch our past Open Mics!
