Artist-led walkthrough of the tail remembers

Join The Here & There Collective for a special artist-led walkthrough of THAT Studio resident alum Huidi Xiang's solo exhibition, the tail remembers, at YveYANG Gallery. About the show: before the handwas put to workthere was the tail. a body once spokewithout permission. the handbegan to hold,to build,to measure,to produce. the taildid not. it movedbefore movementrequired a reason.it confessedbefore language arrived. the handlearned discipline. it signs contracts, builds walls, counts hours, points toward tomorrow. the tailanswers no question. it knows onlyhow fear bends, how longing sways, how exhaustion hangscloser to the ground. we call thisevolution. perhapsit was onlyanother order. the handentered it. the tailremainedoutside it. yet every gesturethat exceedsits function, every touchthat asksfor nothing, every act of careleft unaccounted for, every affectionthat refusesto become value, the tailremembers.
