Catalyzing Narratives for Climate ActionAdvancing the UNFCCC Plan to Accelerate Solutions

On Tuesday, September 22, Creatives for Climate and Futerra Solutions House will convene leaders from across media, advertising, culture and the arts to explore the growing role of narrative power within the global climate architecture. At the centre of the gathering is Catalyzing Narratives for Climate Action: the Plan to Accelerate Solutions recognised under the UNFCCC Climate Action Agenda. Bringing together organisations working across culture, communications, information integrity and civil society, the Plan establishes narrative change as essential infrastructure for accelerating a just transition. Together, we will examine how cultural power can advance the Climate Action Agenda: countering misinformation, building public demand for solutions already within reach and generating the momentum needed to carry them from commitment to implementation. The UNFCCC Climate Action Agenda looks beyond formal negotiations to the coalitions and on-the-ground initiatives already delivering climate ambition. This Plan goes beyond changing the stories we tell. It focuses on building the capacity, networks and shared infrastructure needed to mobilise communities, transform influential industries and make climate action meaningful to people around the world. Timed ahead of COP31 in Türkiye, the gathering is an opportunity to connect with the organisations shaping this work, contribute perspectives from across sectors and explore how we can build the narrative power the transition now demands.
