Join the Artivist Network's Trickster Cohort for an evening of art, performance, conversation and music to push the conversation further on arts and culture as tools for collective liberation from the margins to the mainstream. With presentations by diverse artivists deeply embedded at the fertile intersection of social and ecological justice movements, we will harvest learnings from across movements and mediums on the political and transformative power of art to build power, shift narratives, and reimagine activism and our world. 3.30-5pm: Performances, Printing, Projections (bring a blank t-shirt to print on) 5-6.30pm: Climate Artivist Roundtable: Art + Culture as Tools for Liberation 6.30-9pm: ArtParty: Drinks, DJs, DinnerFeaturing Bill McKibben, Aru Apaza, Cesar Maxit, brandon king, rosa acevedo, Holland de Klerk, and others. About The Artivist Network: For 15 years, the Artivist Network has worked at the center of the global climate justice movement to lift up the role of arts, artists, and culture as tools for social change. From cardboard circuses to papermache flotillas, from participatory performance to giant inflatables, and from murals to mass disobedience, the Artivist Network deploys a wide range of tactics to subvert, hack, ridicule and reimagine dominant stories and assumptions of our world, and bring voices from the margins to the mainstream.
