Community-Led Development in the Next UN Era

The people closest to the world’s hardest crises are often the ones leading the response. Across the world, local leaders are building new ways to meet urgent needs, even as traditional aid and development systems retreat. But the funding architecture around community-led development is still catching up. On the sidelines of UNGA this September, Proximate Press and Humanity United, in partnership with Accountability Lab and Movement for Community-Led Development, are hosting a convening to discuss the emerging funding architecture for community-led development. We’ll connect people across siloes, and reflect on recent reporting from Proximate Press. We are keeping our guest list small, to allow for true dialogue.
