Fides Entrepreneurship Dinner with Colin Moran

Welcome to Fides Entrepreneurship! On Thursday, November 5th at 7:00 PM, at our candle-lit seated dinner, we are honored to host Colin Moran, Managing Partner and founder at Abdiel Capital, Investor and Hedge Fund manager, Founder of the School of Sacred Music in New York City, and Chairman and President of the Institute on Religion and Public Life. Through Abdiel Capital, Colin Moran has built and stewarded a remarkable investment firm while remaining deeply engaged in questions of faith, culture, and human flourishing. Rather than separating intellectual and spiritual pursuits from business, Moran has integrated them, demonstrating how curiosity, stewardship, and an appreciation for human creativity can shape both successful organizations and meaningful lives. Brief words from Colin: “It’s really through reading some of the more modern Dominican writers that I kind of arrived at this understanding that, like, morality should be understood as this resource for developing a dynamic, compelling, poetically sort of rich life.” (Source) Colin is also a major patron of the Athenaeum Center for Thought and Culture, supporting its mission as a center for Catholic arts, theater, and cultural formation. At Fides, Colin will share: How faith, prayer, and humility shape judgment in investing and decision-making The responsibilities that accompany wealth, stewardship, and long-term success How intellectual curiosity can become a competitive advantage What investors can learn from history, theology, and the humanities How to steward wealth, influence, and time without losing one’s soul Who Should Attend Catholic founders and entrepreneurs Business leaders discerning responsibility beyond success Investors and philanthropists interested in faith-aligned institutions Professionals seeking integration of faith, work, and leadership Students and young professionals discerning vocation and stewardship Evening Schedule 19:00 – Cocktail ReceptionSettle in and meet fellow mission-driven Catholics. 19:30 – Seated for DinnerDinner is served. 20:00 – Talk BeginsColin shares his story and lessons from building at scale. 20:45 – Q&AA deep dive into prayer, leadership, capital, and Catholic responsibility. 21:00-21:15 – Networking & SocialContinue the conversation over refreshments. 21:15-01:00 – CelebrationMusic, dancing, DJ (to be announced) & celebration begins.
