GROTOWSKI INSPIRED PARATHEATER: INTRO EVENING

A two-and-a-half-hour introduction to paratheater and physical action with James Wagner. Limited to 12 participants. GROTOWSKI INSPIRED PARATHEATER: INTRO EVENING with James Wagner This two-and-a-half-hour class will introduce you to some basic paratheatre techniques that were inspired by Jerzy Grotowski and developed by Antero Alli over the last forty years. Once your body, emotions, energy, and imagination are activated with paratheatrical techniques, the second half of this class will explore how to use those techniques to explore a piece of memorized texts. Bring a short, memorized monologue you know well and wear comfortable clothing you can move in, like what you might wear to a yoga or dance class.
