Here I Am… I Think?

Working live, we’ll doodle and diagram our way through the show, treating these visuals not as data but as living things; maps that hold stories, feelings, and the strange shapes of a life. Each piece of “data” or information will likely come from or be inspired by the stories shared by the audience. Together we’ll map the joys of discovering new things in your life, the particular grief of things not turning out the way we wanted, the noise of obligation that drowns out the self, and the quiet moment when you look down and realize you've been drawing your own dotted line the whole time. This experiment is a show about losing yourself inside the love you have for the people and futures you've built, and the humor and tenderness of finding your way back. We don't have to figure it out alone. We can sit together, make a map of where we've been, and imagine—with each other's help—where we might go next. About Brooke Brooke Viegut is devoted to investigating our shared humanity (aka anonymous intimacy) through narrative, artifact, and conscious, empathy-focused design. An alchemy of theatrical roots, design research, community-building, and a passion for play has led to collaborations with leading organizations from entertainment to impact including Invisible North, Tribeca Festival, The McKittrick Hotel (home of Sleep No More), and National Audubon Society. Brooke’s ongoing research, Anonymous Intimacy, explores the impact of trauma-informed design on audience experience in live entertainment.
