As the world grapples with rapidly growing electricity demand from data centers, advanced manufacturing, and industry, India’s emerging model of firm, round-the-clock renewable power paired with storage offers a clean, affordable, and rapidly deployable pathway to meet new demand reliably. Beyond record renewable-energy capacity additions and some of the world’s most competitive clean-energy prices, India is mobilizing private capital, strengthening institutions, and building the manufacturing base needed for a reliable and affordable clean-energy system. India’s experience could offer important lessons for other economies facing similar challenges.
