Jim Boerlin's Celebration of Life

Please join HB Studio as we gather to celebrate the life and legacy of Jim Boerlin (March 28, 1940 - June 20, 2026), beloved actor, director, teacher, mentor, and longtime member of the HB community. For more than six decades, Jim devoted his life to the theater and to the artists around him. HB Studio was his lifelong artistic home, where he studied with Herbert Berghof and Uta Hagen, taught generations of actors, served as co-chair of the HB Studio Artistic Council, and played an instrumental role in the creation of the Hagen Institute. From 2010 until his passing, he served as the Institute’s program administrator, mentoring countless students with warmth, rigor, and an unwavering commitment to the craft. We invite Jim’s family, friends, students, colleagues, and the wider HB community to come together to remember Jim, honor the extraordinary life he shared with us, and celebrate the lasting impact he made on generations of theater artists.
