An assistant professor and clinical optometrist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr. Hernandez specializes in neuro-ophthalmic disease, a field at the intersection of neurology and eye health. She earned her degree from UAB and completed her residency at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry with Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
