Making Art in the Era of Neurotechnology

Followed by reception As access to our brain data expands and becomes increasingly more accessible, what happens to our perception of art, our bodies, and the human experience? Join MoMI Curator of Science & Technology Sonia Epstein and MoMI LAB's inaugural artist-in-residence Rachel Rossin for an evening exploring Rossin’s work with her own brain data and her collaboration with Yale’s Wu Tsai Institute. Drawing on brain imaging, neuroscience, and emerging interfaces, the program examines how artists are using new tools to visualize thought, expand perception, and imagine new forms of creative expression. Featuring artists, neuroscientists, and brain-computer interface researchers (to be announced), the evening explores how emerging technologies are transforming not only what we create, but how we experience ourselves and one another. Free with RSVP Arrive early, at 5:00 p.m., for a tour of the exhibition Overexposed: Art, Technology, and the Body led by curator Sonia Epstein. While the tour is limited to 20 participants, please note general admission is free on this day, 2:00–6:00 p.m. and all are welcome to explore the Museum’s galleries.
