Open Studios 2026

The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts welcomes the public to its 25th Annual Open Studios, offering a rare opportunity to explore 85 artist studios throughout EFA’s Midtown Manhattan building and engage directly with a vibrant community of professional artists and printmakers. Artists will open their studios to share recent work and give visitors an inside look at their creative processes. The Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop (RBPMW) will also be open for special events and tours, offering insight into one of New York’s longstanding cooperative printmaking communities and its accessible resources for artists. Schedule Friday, October 9 4–6 PM — Professional Preview, by RSVP 6–9 PM — Opening Night Saturday, October 10 12–1 PM — All History Is Contemporary, panel discussion with curators Sean Corcoran, Jody Graf, and Dr. Gervais Marsh, moderated by Lise Kjaer 1–6 PM — Open Studios 2–3 PM — Curator Walkthrough: Asilah Oui: Robert Blackburn in Morocco with Imani Congdon Pathways Pathways is a curatorial initiative within EFA Open Studios highlighting the creative processes behind contemporary artistic practice. This year’s three pathways—Technologies of Resistance, curated by Cassie Packard; Generative Repetition, curated by Dominika Tylcz; and Bodies of Memory, curated by Sameer Aurora—bring together artists whose practices explore resistance and repair, repetition and perception, and memory, displacement, and belonging. Exhibitions Open Studios also offers visitors the opportunity to experience exhibitions throughout EFA, including Post Seduction, curated by Deric Carner; Sarah Leahy: Plain Sense; and ** Asilah Oui: Robert Blackburn in Morocco**, curated by Imani Congdon.
