Personal Agent Hackathon — hosted by Cognee at NYU:Tandon This isn’t a typical hackathon — it’s a collabathon for builders, developers, adopters, and anyone interested in rapidly building and iterating on AI Agents. Personal Agent needs a Personal Brain In this hands-on hackathon, participants will build a Personal Brain - an AI-powered memory system that can organize and connect information from your notes, documents, conversations, projects, links, and other personal knowledge. Instead of starting every conversation with an AI assistant from scratch, your Personal Brain gives agents access to persistent context: what you're working on, what you've learned, the people and projects that matter to you, and the connections between them. During the hackathon, you'll choose a personal use case, add your own data, build a searchable and connected memory, and then create an AI agent or application that can use that memory to answer questions and help you get things done. Possible projects include: A networking brain that remembers people, companies, meetings, and relationships A personal knowledge assistant that writes blog posts A career brain that understands your experience, projects, and accomplishments A research assistant that uses articles you give it to perform deep research A project brain that remembers decisions, tasks, and conversations and helps you manage a project A life assistant that can recall important information across months or years The challenge: In just 3 hours, build a personal agent that doesn't just have intelligence—it has your memory and context. Anyone who wants feedback during the hackathon will get a chance. . By the end of the hackathon, every participant should have their oown Personal Brain and an agent that can put that memory to work.
