Tempus Fugit by Wendy Gittler

"In the world of painting, images and signs that evoke the passage of time have been both manifold and elusive. Over the years, I have been drawn to the nature of fleeing time in search of its visual equivalents. Consequently, I feel I am never finished with a painting and continue to restart on the same surface watching the imagery and surrounding space mutate in ways I had not envisioned. Thus these paintings, drawings and collages grapple with different time spans that coalesce with one another and form a new interaction." – Wendy Gittler
