Thanks + Giving (part 1: giving thanks)

Thanksgiving is about two things: giving thanks and giving back. This November, we’re making space for both. Join Single Saturdays + Human Hearts Collective for a two-part experience: one to give thanks, and one to give back. You’re welcome to join us for either event or both. Thursday, November 19th, we begin by slowing down to notice what we're grateful for. Saturday, November 21st, we put that gratitude into action. This is part one: giving thanks In the busyness of everyday life, it’s easy to move from one thing to the next without taking a moment to appreciate what we have. This evening is an invitation to slow down, connect with others, and reflect on all the things, big and small, that we’re grateful for. Practicing gratitude has been shown to lift your mood, ground you in the present, and strengthen the relationships that matter most. It's a small habit that helps us live happier, healthier lives. What to expect: A welcoming space to show up authentically Paired sharing with prompts, so you get to know the group Letter writing: one to yourself, expressing what you are grateful for, and one to someone else — the kind of letter we mean to write and rarely do. A closing circle to share whatever feels right A letter to yourself to come back to, a letter to send, and new connections to take home Warm cider and seasonal treats Limited to 15 people. Gratitude doesn't have to stay in our hearts or on the page. When we feel how much we've been given, it can inspire us to give back. That's the idea behind this 2-part experience. On November 19, we'll give thanks. On November 21, we'll give back by volunteering with West Side Campaign Against Hunger.Want to join us for part two?
