Breakboat & Irfane: Breakbot is the electrifying musical project of French producer and multi-instrumentalist Thibaut Berland. With his creative partner, vocalist Irfane, Breakbot has carved out a unique space in the electronic music world, crafting a sound that is both retro-chic and refreshingly modern. His signature style is an irresistible cocktail of funk, disco, house, and classic French touch, creating sun-drenched anthems that feel both nostalgic and timeless. Berland first captured the scene's attention in 2006 with a celebrated remix of "Let There Be Light" by fellow French icons Justice. This early success paved the way for his official debut as Breakbot on the legendary Ed Banger Records. It was his 2010 release, "Baby I'm Yours" featuring the smooth vocals of Irfane, that catapulted him to international fame. The track became an instant classic, a ubiquitous anthem of summer parties and feel-good moments worldwide, showcasing his knack for creating perfectly polished pop-infused disco. Following a series of successful EPs, Breakbot delivered his full-length debut album, "By Your Side," in 2012. The album was a masterful collection of shimmering productions and infectious grooves, solidifying his status as a leading figure in the nu-disco movement. Over the years, Irfane transitioned from a guest vocalist to a full-fledged member, and their collaboration deepened on the 2016 album, "Still Waters." This record saw the duo exploring influences from R&B and synth-pop, inspired by legends like Michael Jackson and Prince, while retaining the core funkiness that defines their sound. Beyond the studio, Breakbot is a formidable force behind the decks and in live performances, bringing his vibrant sound to festival stages and dance floors across the globe. His sets are a masterclass in feel-good energy, seamlessly blending his own productions with deep-cut disco and funk gems. While he has a strong following in global hubs like Paris and Mexico City, his universally appealing sound has made him a favorite in diverse music scenes everywhere, proving that the power of a good groove knows no borders.
