CityCamp Oakland 2026

Please reserve your ticket on Eventbrite! CityCamp is a participant-led gathering to share ideas and solve Oakland’s civic challenges. Interested in volunteering to support CityCamp? Sign up here! CityCamp Oakland is a one-day unconference — a participant-driven gathering where anyone can propose, lead, or join sessions about the issues and opportunities shaping life in Oakland. Instead of a pre-set agenda, the day starts with an empty schedule (“The Wall”) and a room full of people ready to share ideas, skills, and solutions. Whether you care about public transit, housing, parks, education, open data, community safety, climate resilience, or local arts — if it touches public life in Oakland, it belongs here. Sessions might be discussions, hands-on workshops, demos, or collaborative problem-solving labs. Expect to connect with a diverse mix of neighbors, civic leaders, technologists, advocates, designers, policy wonks, educators, and curious residents. Bring your ideas, your expertise, or just your curiosity — everyone is welcome, and no experience is required. CityCamp Oakland is more than a conference. It’s a space for real conversations, cross-community connections, and collective action. Come ready to listen, share, and shape Oakland’s future together. Lunch will be provided. OpenOakland is able to offer free community tickets thanks to our generous supporters.
