Shy Guys On The Water

Note: This session is open to all queer, trans, and/or bipoc. Hey there! Have you wanted to join a cormorants paddle but don't know how to kayak, or feel overwhelmed in big groups? Do you want to just take some time in a small group of other queers to kayak, learn, and maybe even just be quiet on the water? Join us for our new series of shy guy paddles! These will be capped at 6 paddlers so you can get some individual attention, meet others in a low stakes environment, and enjoy the water at your own pace. This is a great place to start on your kayaking or paddle boarding journey! The event will be sliding scale $33 - $66 for everything you need to get out on the water in a kayak. Please venmo a 50% deposit to @m0ssey to secure your spot, and let us know at least one day in advance if you need to cancel for any reason. Bring a change of clothes, water bottle, and sunscreen/hat and wear things you don't mind getting wet (no cotton!). Flip flops, water shoes, or bare feet are recommended. Schedule: 9:45am - park, arrive, change, gather 10:00am - grounding circle, safety talk, gear up 10:15 am - group launch! 11:15 am - land and final closing circle Please arrive on time (which means early!) to help us get the most time out on the water.
