Advocate. is a free, in-person community class designed to give you practical tools to feel more prepared for healthcare visits and take a more active role in healthcare conversations. The class is taught by a physician assistant with experience on both sides of healthcare—as a provider and a patient. Everyone who attends receives a free playbook and take-home tools to use at future healthcare visits. What You’ll Learn We’ll cover simple, practical ways to: • Prepare for healthcare visits • Decide what questions you want to ask • Speak up when something isn’t clear • Ask about options, benefits, and risks • Clarify the plan and what comes next • Use simple tools to help you remember and organize important information Who This Class Is For This class may be especially helpful if you: • Feel anxious, rushed, or overwhelmed during healthcare visits • Aren’t always sure what questions to ask • Want to feel more comfortable speaking up • Sometimes leave appointments unsure about what comes next • Help a family member or loved one navigate their healthcare • Simply want to be more prepared for future healthcare visits No healthcare knowledge or experience is needed.
