Memory Cafe of the Midwest - First Gathering Volunteer Sign-Up

Help us create a warm welcome at the first gathering of Memory Cafe of the Midwest! This registration page is exclusively for volunteers helping with our in-person gathering on Tuesday, November 17, 2026. It is not the registration page for people attending as guests or care partners. Join us in creating a welcoming space where people living with memory loss and their care partners can connect, enjoy refreshments, and spend time with others who understand their experiences. Volunteer opportunities may include: • Setting up tables, refreshments, signs, and activity supplies • Greeting guests, assisting with check-in, and preparing name tags • Helping guests get settled and feel included • Supporting conversation and creative activities (especially for the group of people living with memory loss) • Assisting with caregiver discussion groups, if assigned as a facilitator • Helping with cleanup after the gathering Guest doors open at 9:30 a.m., and the program runs from 10:00–11:30 a.m. Please plan for additional time before or after the gathering, depending on your volunteer assignment. We will confirm your role, arrival time, and any orientation details before the event. If you cannot stay the entire time, just let us know - we'll be happy for you to join at the beginning and leave before we close. Please register individually so we can coordinate volunteer assignments and communicate with everyone helping that day. Full volunteer shift is 9:00 am–Noon: • 9:00–9:15: Setup • 9:15–9:25: Role assignments and a brief day-of huddle. • 9:25: greeters and check-in team in place • 9:30–11:30: guest welcome and program support • 11:30–noon: cleanup and a short debrief
