This performance comes at a particularly meaningful moment for Strauss, who will soon be inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. A founding member of Buffalo-born jazz fusion group Spyro Gyra, Strauss contributed to the platinum-selling Morning Dance, an important chapter in a remarkable musical journey that we'll have the opportunity to celebrate up close. Joining him are two of the region's most accomplished jazz musicians. Lisa Hasselback brings a lifetime of artistry shaped by decades of performance, teaching, and devotion to the jazz tradition, while Ed Croft has become one of Western New York's most sought-after bassists, performing in a multitude of settings. Both have been consistent winners in the annual JazzBuffalo Poll over the past decade. And that's what makes Art Meets Jazz different.
