This year, our mission is especially close to our hearts. Through our connection with Kate Glaser and Hope Rises, we have been introduced to a local family facing the unimaginable challenges of childhood cancer. Our goal for this year's gala is to bring our community together to provide meaningful financial support, hope, and comfort to this family during an incredibly difficult time. Paving Away Cancer was founded in loving memory of Michael Vaccaro Sr. with a mission to honor his legacy by helping others affected by cancer. Since 2020, thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our sponsors, donors, friends, and local businesses, our foundation has donated over $375,000, including more than $104,000 in 2025 alone. This year, we're taking that mission one step further by focusing our efforts on helping a family in our own community whose child is courageously battling cancer. With the help of Kate Glaser and Hope Rises, we've been connected with a family whose journey reminds us exactly why Paving Away Cancer exists. No family should have to face the emotional and financial burdens of childhood cancer alone. Through this special evening, we hope to ease some of those burdens and allow this family to focus on what matters most — their child's health, happiness, and recovery.
