This is the introductory course covering General Household Pests including ants, roaches, rodents, laws & regulations, and spill cleanup. This is the introductory course covering General Household Pests including ants, roaches, rodents, laws & regulations, and spill cleanup. This course is designed to provide the basic information needed to do an IPM service for common general household pests such as cockroaches, rats, ants, occasional invaders, mosquitoes, filth flies. Label navigation, pesticide safety, including dealing with spills, following product labels and understanding the requirements of FS 482 and 5E-14 as it relates to GHP is included. Program Comments: This course includes a lecture and hands-on portion. It is 2.5 days long and is team taught by FDACS, industry experts, and UF/IFAS. Please make sure that the attendee’s email address directly tied to that person at registration. Not the office email address. Assessments will be delivered to the student directly using the student’s email address. Please note: the state exam is NOT offered at the end of Foundations classes and is ONLY offered at the end of Masters classes.
