Enjoy a free plant-based meal while learning simple, practical ways to shop smarter, stretch your grocery budget, and eat well for less. Eating well doesn’t have to mean spending more. Join us for Powered by Plants, an in-person experience designed to make plant-based eating feel practical, approachable, affordable, and satisfying in everyday life. 📍 Women’s Club at William L. Patena 10381 N 84th Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345 This session, Eat Well, Spend Less: Plant-Based Eating on a Budget, is all about helping you get more from your grocery budget without sacrificing nutrition, flavor, or fullness. Vegan Dietitian Rhyan Geiger will guide us through simple, realistic strategies for shopping smarter and building balanced plant-based meals with everyday ingredients. Together, we’ll explore how to compare fresh, frozen, canned, and dried foods, make the most of affordable staples like beans, lentils, grains, and vegetables, and reduce food waste by using what you already have more intentionally. Because eating well on a budget isn’t about restriction or buying the cheapest food possible. It’s about knowing where your money goes, which ingredients give you the most value, and how to turn simple foods into meals that actually satisfy you. Taking place the week before Thanksgiving, this session is also a chance to gather as a community, share a meal, and head into the holiday season with practical ideas for making food feel nourishing, affordable, and connected. And yes, come hungry. You’ll enjoy a full plant-based lasagna prepared by Vegan Taste Chef Jason Wyrick, a hearty meal that shows how comforting, familiar, and delicious plant-based food can be. You’ll connect with others in the community and leave with practical ideas you can actually use, including: • Budget-friendly plant-based staples to keep on hand • Tips for stretching your grocery dollars further • Simple strategies for reducing food waste • Ideas for building affordable, satisfying meals at home • Recipes and inspiration you can bring into your weekly routine Whether you’re already plant-based, trying to eat more plants, feeding a family, or simply looking for ways to make your grocery budget go further, this session is for you. No expensive specialty ingredients. No complicated meal plans. No pressure to be perfect. Just good food, practical nutrition, and realistic ways to eat well for less. Come curious. Come hungry. Come ready to rethink what healthy eating on a budget can look like. We can’t wait to grow with you. 🌱 Powered by Plants is made possible through funding from the Sprouts Farmers Market Foundation.
