Historian Jared Olar will tell the story of Orson Welles' (in)famous 1938 "War of the Worlds" broadcast. For the upcoming 88th anniversary of Orson Welles' (in)famous 1938 "War of the Worlds" broadcast, Historian Jared Olar will tell the story of how the mass hysteria that Welles' broadcast induced across the country reached as far as Pekin. A brief Friends of the Library meeting will take place prior to the program. Open to the public!
