Join your fellow Richmond writers for an evening at VPM’s new HQ on Broad Street downtown. Meet other writers, swap ideas, and learn more about pitching Style Weekly’s Back Page, the opinion and personal essays section. The pitch session begins at 6:30 pm with Kate Neale Cooper, who edits opinion and personal essays at Style Weekly and for WBUR in Boston. Kate will share what makes a strong pitch, how she works with freelancers, and then do a lightning round of pitches with attendees. (For a head start, check out the submission guidelines for the Back Page here.) Drinks, snacks and good conversation provided.
