RVA - The New Appraisal Rules Nobody Is Talking About

Get the scoop on the latest appraisal rule changes that everyone’s missing—don’t miss out in person! Don't Miss Out on The New Appraisal Rules Nobody Is Talking About! Getting the listing is only the beginning. The real challenge is making sure the property is properly prepared, positioned, documented, and ready when the appraiser arrives. This Realtor Lunch & Learn is designed to give agents a better understanding of the appraisal process and practical steps they can take before the appraisal is ordered to help reduce surprises, delays, and appraisal-related problems. We’ll discuss how appraisers evaluate a property, what information can make a difference, common issues that can negatively affect an appraisal, and how Realtors can better prepare both the home and the documentation that supports its value. We’ll also cover the increased level of property detail appraisers are being asked to capture—including updates, improvements, condition, systems, materials, and other information that may not be readily available through public records. You’ll leave with practical strategies you can begin using immediately to: • Prepare your listings to be market-ready and appraisal-ready • Better understand the factors appraisers consider • Document renovations, upgrades, and improvements more effectively • Identify potential appraisal issues before they become transaction problems • Communicate more effectively with sellers and appraisers • Help create smoother transactions and more confident clients Lunch will be provided, along with an opportunity to network with other Richmond-area real estate professionals and hear perspectives from our appraisal and industry partners. This is not a sales presentation. It’s a practical working session designed to help Realtors protect their listings, better serve their sellers, and get more transactions successfully to closing. Seating is limited, so advance registration is encouraged.
