Planting Day for the Santa Fe Dam Nature Center Garden

We excited to be reinvigorating the Santa Fe Dam Nature Center Garden and need your help planting habitat appropriate native plants. With the recent designation of approximately 500 acres of rare alluvial sage scrub habitat as a Los Angeles County Natural Area, we are assisting Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation with the revamping of the Nature Center adjacent garden to one appropriate for ecological educational programming. We will be planting native flora to provide habitat for pollinators, birds, insects and more. So please join us in creating this important garden! This effort is part of the on going Habitat Care collaboration bewtween CNPS-SGM and Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation to maintain the ecological and educational value of the Santa Fe Dam Natural Area. Please see the CNPS-SGM website for more information about this project. Questions: Please send an email to [email protected]
