Habibi Gün

Habibi Gün: Habibi Gün is a psychedelic maqam collective featuring leading performers of Arabic music in New York City. The group reimagines works by classical Arab composers like Riyad al-Sunbati and Mohammed Fawzi, blending them with Western influences including Ennio Morricone, Link Wray, and that late, great Lebanese-American, Dick Dale. The resulting listening experience is sprawling and evocative—stark and contemplative one moment, abandoned and trance-inducing the next. Through extended improvisation and deep respect for maqam traditions, they create an immersive, cinematic sound where Arab musical heritage meets psychedelic exploration. Join us to celebrate another year (our 25th!) of great music and camaraderie at one of our homes away from home, The Rotunda! venue is wheelchair accessible
