Sacha Vega and her collaborators devised a performance work where group relations erode, remold and recast. Doors Open: 7:30pm Presented as part of An Endless Meeting: Collective Process, Artistic Labor, and the Politics of Working Together Beginning from the elemental premise of togetherness, Sacha Vega and her collaborators devised a performance work where group relations erode, remold and recast. With a hyper, playful and exacting sensibility, the performers draw from arenas with designed protocols (workplace meetings, group therapy, wedding ceremonies, protest, courtrooms) and domains with more emergent rules (family meal, online dating, community theater). Morphing at the intersections of clown, dance, and improvisation, a colorful and disruptive landscape of collectivity emerges. Forever wondering: how to be a part and be apart? About the Artists SACHA VEGA (PERFORMER/CHOREOGRAPHER) Sacha Vega (she/her) is an artist who collages across movement, poetics, and humor to examine the ideologies that train bodies to move. Working in concert with collaborators and audiences alike, she’s invested in using her practice as a space to test dogmas of authority, horizontal organization, and temporary utopia. Vega is a 2025–2026 New York Live Arts Fresh Tracks artist, a 2026 Da Vinci Arts Alliance Collective Futures Fellow and recently completed a summer at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She has performed in works by Kim Brandt, Tina Bararian, Mia Martelli, Jazzy Romero and Nina Sarnelle. She holds a BFA from Pratt Institute and an MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, where she teaches media and performance courses. FRANK LEASING (DEVISER/PERFORMER) Frank Leasing is a movement artist, researcher, and facilitator. They are an ongoing student and practitioner of methodologies including Butoh, Pochinko Clown, and drag performance. Their teaching practice resists unilateral ways of thinking and embraces a playful approach to neurodivergence. They see scholarship as something that can happen collectively, using associative group research to open up new possibilities for both dance and study. Leasing holds an MFA in Dance from Bennington College. MITCHELL RYAN (DEVISER/PERFORMER) Mitchell Ryan is a clown and multimedia artist in Philadelphia. He is taken by the absurd, the surreal, the bizarre and the beautiful. He has been part of the organizing committee for the Philly Clowns Slams since 2023. ROSE LUARDO (DEVISER/PERFORMER) Rose Luardo (she/her) is a surrealist comedic performer. A woman for whom pleasure is found in creating vibrant art installations and unpredictable live work. Her multihyphenate practice spans solo and group perforamances, fine art shows in galleries and pop-up happenings in parking lots. Musician, hype woman, actress, dancer — a true renaissance woman with a flair for the absurd. JAMES GENTILE (SOUND DESIGN/COMPOSITION) James Gentile (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist and multi-instrumentalist based in Philadelphia. In their compositions, they collage textures, samples, and instrumentation, challenging the constraints of established music to craft new sounds irreverent to genre. As a sound designer and composer, their work has been presented at New York Live Arts, Movement Research, Judson Church, Vox Populi, and The Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Grounded in creative risk, their fluid practice also includes frequent collaborative experiments across the Philly DIY, comedy, and clown scenes. They hold a BFA from Pratt Institute, and their debut album, Notes From a Heavenly Soup, is available via people | places | records. Most recently, their first solo show, Gut Healthy, premiered at the 2026 Cannonball Festival, where it received the Live Wire award—a curated track recognizing experimental new works that boldly dismantle genre and embrace creative risk.
